Frankie Foti performing close-up card magic for a laughing guest at a private party

Private Party Magician in Nashville

You’ve got the people, the food, the drinks: the basics are covered. What most house parties need is a shared moment between everyone in the room, something people will still be talking about years later.

Close-up magic is that moment. And it fits into a home better than almost any other kind of entertainment you could book. No stage, no sound system, no lighting rig, no rearranging the living room. Frankie performs standing in your kitchen or perched on the arm of your sofa, close enough that guests can hold the cards themselves.

For a milestone birthday or anniversary, the show can be focused around them, so they’re the star of the night. For a mixed family gathering, grandparents, teenagers, somebody’s new partner nobody’s met yet, magic is one of the only things that works on everyone at once, because there’s no age range or crowd type this doesn’t work for; everyone in the room gets to enjoy it.

And a smaller guest list isn’t a compromise here. Twelve people around a kitchen island isn’t a scaled-down version of the experience; it’s the ideal version. Close-up magic was built for exactly that distance.

What a Typical Evening Looks Like

Here’s roughly how a 7:00 PM party for thirty guests tends to unfold. Every night gets adjusted to fit yours, but this is the general shape.

6:30

Arrival

Frankie arrives before your guests do, says hello, and sets up his table.

7:00–8:00

Guests arrive, Frankie mingles

Guests slowly arrive and grab a drink while Frankie makes his way around the room, performing mini magic shows for each group.

8:00–8:45

The Parlour Set

Frankie performs his highly interactive and astonishing parlour show, performing magic with cards, coins, and even mind reading.

8:45

Out

Frankie disappears into the night, and your guests are left buzzing about the magician you hired, the kind of thing they’ll bring up at every party for years to come.

Frankie always entertains my friends and leaves them mind blown at every event.

Megan Buettner  ·  House party, Nashville

Frankie performed at my place for a dinner party and it was the best part of the night, hands down. He worked the whole room, close enough that people couldn’t figure out how any of it was happening, and still made time to build a bit around me since it was my party. People are still asking about it.

Before You Book

How much does a magician cost for a private party?
It comes down to the length of the performance and package you select. Send over those details for a specific quote.
Do we need a stage or any kind of setup?
No. Frankie brings everything he needs, including his own table for the close-up and parlour portions. Nothing gets built or plugged in.
Is there a minimum guest count?
Smaller gatherings work just as well. A dozen people sitting in a living room is genuinely the best setting for this kind of magic, not a scaled-back one.
Is it a good fit for a family party with kids and grandparents?
Yes. Close-up magic crosses generations better than almost any other kind of entertainment, because everyone experiences it from the same close distance.
How far in advance should we book?
Three to ten weeks out works for most dates. December fills up fast, holiday parties are often booked by October.

Tell him about the party

That’s the kind of thing a house party actually needs: not more food, not more décor, but one shared moment everybody in the room remembers together. Years from now, your guests won’t remember the playlist. They’ll remember the trick they still can’t explain.
