The short answer

How much does a magician cost in Nashville? There's no flat rate, because every quote I give is built around the event. The main factors are the performance format, how long I perform, the date, travel, and any custom material or rehearsal. Send your date, venue, guest count and rough schedule, and I can quote the event you're actually planning.

Why every quote is custom

If you're looking for the cost of hiring a magician in Nashville, you probably want to know whether it fits your event before spending a week exchanging emails.

That's reasonable. The most useful quote comes from a few details about what you're planning, because two bookings on the same calendar can involve very different work.

A lot of people call and ask for a price first. It's a bit like calling a restaurant and asking how much dinner is: it depends on what you order. I perform everything from living room gatherings to stage shows for hundreds of guests, and those are different jobs.

Here is what helps me understand yours.

The format and performance time

Strolling magic during a reception is different from a show for the entire room. A formal seated close-up performance has its own requirements too. A stage show is a bigger production than strolling, because I'm entertaining a large group at once, and the quote reflects that.

The length of the booking matters, along with how that time is arranged.

Live events often run late, so when I'm booked for an evening, I keep the rest of that night clear.

You don't have to choose the format alone. Tell me what you want the guests to experience, and we can work out which option makes sense before finalizing the quote. My guide to close-up magic covers it in more detail.

The venue and travel

I'm based in Nashville and travel for events. The location helps establish what the booking involves, including travel and accommodations when needed. For events outside the area, travel is one of the biggest factors in the quote.

Within the venue, access and production details can matter as well. If the plan includes a stage show, we should discuss sound, lighting and the performance space so everyone understands what is being provided. The venue or planner usually arranges the sound, and larger productions can involve a rehearsal day.

A clear quote should make the scope of the booking understandable. Ask what is included and what the venue or planner needs to arrange.

The date and the event itself

Send the actual date and performance window when you can. December is my busiest time of year, so holiday party dates can be priced a little higher, and so can nights like New Year's Eve.

For December parties, check availability while the schedule is taking shape. A general question about holiday pricing doesn't tell us whether the date you need is available.

Custom material can also change the preparation involved. Companies sometimes ask me to create magic around a product launch, a song or a lyric, and that kind of work costs more than an established set. If you have an idea connected to your company or celebration, describe it early so we can discuss what is possible.

How much does a magician cost in Nashville for weddings and corporate events?

Weddings, corporate events and private parties can all use close-up magic. The event label alone doesn't explain the full booking; the guest count, format and timeline give it context.

For weddings, I send a few options once I know the date, location and timeline, and couples choose the one that fits their budget.

Corporate magician cost covers a wider range, because the work does. An hour of strolling at a holiday party, a show after dinner, an all-day trade show booth and custom magic built for a product launch are all different scopes. Here's more on corporate event magic in Nashville.

How to compare quotes when you hire a magician

Price matters, but a bare number isn't a fair comparison. When one quote is much lower, the difference usually comes down to experience and quality.

There are cheaper options in every kind of entertainment, and the right choice depends on the experience you want. But you're bringing this person into your home, or in front of your clients and coworkers. Ask whether you'd feel comfortable having them around your family and your team, and whether they'll make you look good for hiring them.

I once had a client reach out because, the year before, they had hired a very cheap magician. They told me it had been a really bad experience for everyone, so this time they went the other way, and they were much happier with the result.

Check that each quote describes the format, performance time, travel and any custom work, and watch some performance videos to judge the style.

What to send for a quote

Start with your date, venue or city, approximate guest count and the reason for the gathering. Include the rough schedule and any format you're considering. If a detail isn't confirmed, say so.

I can then respond to the event you're actually planning, rather than attach a number to something that may not fit.

The goal is a performance that belongs in the evening, with the practical details settled before your guests arrive. Ask for a custom quote with your date, venue and guest count, and we can take it from there.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a set price list?

No. Every quote is custom, because events differ so much in format, length, date and travel. Tell me the date, the location, how long the event runs and the kind of performance you're picturing, and I'll quote that event instead of giving you a number that might not fit.

How much does a wedding magician cost in Nashville?

It depends on how much of the day you'd like covered. Some couples book the cocktail hour only. Others add time after the speeches and dances, with more strolling magic and a seated close-up show at the end. Once I know your date, venue and timeline, I send a few options so you can choose the one that fits your budget.

When do holiday party and wedding dates fill up?

As a rough guide, I'd suggest at least three or four months ahead for a holiday party, though plenty of requests come in a month or two before. Weddings often book a year or more in advance. December weekends fill with holiday parties, so booking early matters most then. If your date is sooner than that, it's still worth asking.

Is travel included in the quote?

For events outside the Nashville area, I usually quote one all-inclusive fee that covers my travel, and I book my own accommodations. That way you don't have to manage flights, hotels or a list of reimbursements. When comparing quotes, check whether travel is included or billed separately.
